Politehnica University of Bucharest is the largest Politechnical University from Romania, with great expertise and bearing an essential role in the development of Higher Education in the country. As a promoter, PUB can fulfil all the requirements derived from this quality and can ensure the running of the project under optimal conditions. The Materials Technoloy and Welding Engineering Department (TMS) has a vast experience with European projects. These include FP5 projects, Tempus, Socrates and Leonardo da Vinci projects.

There is a vast experience and expertise in the CAD/CAM domain at the promoter level (PUB), these concepts being taught to our students for several years. CAD training bears an important role in the education in all of the technical faculties. Software packages like Autodesk AutoCAD, Dassault Systems CATIA and SolidWorks have constituted an integral part in the training process of a technical engineer (e.g. technologies engineering from PUB).

PUB is represented by Dr. Catalin Gheorge Amza. Catalin is a senior lecturer at Politehnica University of Bucharest. He was and is involved in several research and development project, including Leonardo da Vinci projects. He studied for his Masters and PhD degree in United Kingdom, De Montfort Univesity, Leicester where he combined ICT technologies in industrial applications (including CAD/CAM applications). He is experienced in management including managing EU projects. In addition he has CAD/CAM experience and skills this also being used to teach CAD/CAM concepts to students. He is a certified CAD trainer/tester for ECDLTM CAD programme.

MECB Ltd, a corporate member of the Malta Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise and the Malta Federation of Industry, is an established consultancy bureau in Malta providing entities with specialized training and technical support services including mentoring, related to a range of technologies and methodologies including Computer Aided Design (CAD).  MECB’s activities range from knowledge transfer, the generation of ideas/concepts, maintenance management or the selection of relevant technologies and methodologies. MECB has also staff experienced in a number of EU Projects such as Leondardo, Grundtvig, FP6 and EUMEDIS
Of relevance to this project is that MECB has years of experience in designing and developing specialized courseware for industrial entities including SMEs. 
In addition, MECB has experience on projects related to  2D and 3D CAD systems, on Innovation Management Techniques (IMTs).  Also relevant is that MECB has good working relationships with the Malta Federation of Industry (FOI) and Malta’s Innovation Relay Centre (IRC), these beneficial for effective knowledge transfer and dissemination to SMEs.   From a pedagogic perspective, MECB has also experience in projects related to the development of e-Learning based courseware and hosts a Learning Management System (LMS).
MECB is represented in euCAD by Prof. Jonathan C. BORG. Jonathan graduated with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malta, an MSc and PhD in Computer Aided Product Development from the University of Strathclyde (UK). He has also attended a one month Commonwealth Scholarship in CADCAM techniques at Hong Kong Polytechnic in Hong Kong. Jonathan has a number of research publications in both refereed journals and conference proceedings related to the theme of CAD. He has a number of years of personal experience in a number of EU Projects ranging from EUMEDIS, FP6 to Leonardo & Grundtvig. He has experience in developing e-Learning content for technical subjects including CAED, CIM, Design Methods and Innovation Techniques, also reflected in EU projects such as euSDET and CECA. After a number of years in the academic sphere leading the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Malta, coupled with a number of years becoming increasingly consulted in helping industrial entities ranging from SMEs to multinationals improve their competitiveness and innovation through a number of methodologies and technologies, Jonathan setup MECB Ltd which he has been now directing for a number of years.

Prior to working at Inovaformação, Diana Oliveira worked as Vocational Training Consultant in a higher education institution, being responsible for the management of training plans and the organisation of VET activities. She has also participated in the Portuguese project “Social Charter 2005” coordinated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity.

The public institution Information Technologies Institute (ITI) was established in 1997. ITI can be described as an organisation which creates temporary working groups for projects to design Information Systems in a professional manner. ITI has experience in corporative information systems design and computerization of administrative activities (Lotus Domino infrastructures). From year 2000 Information Technologies Institute started with activities in ECDL (European Computer Driving License) Programme implementation in Lithuania. Information Technologies Institute is the official ECDL Foundation Licensee for Lithuania and Belarus. Currently the development and dissemination of ECDL related testing activities have the major importance for the Institute. ITI has developed the automated ECDL test system which was approved by the ECDL Foundation for automated testing.

ITI is represented in euCAD by Dr. Eugenijus Telesius. Eugenijus is Managing Director of ITI, CEO of ECDL Lithuania, Country Representative in IFIP and IT STAR Association, IT Project Manager and ITIL Consultant. He is also appointed as an Associated Professor at Vilnius University.

From the beginning of year 2008 Usesoft is also MSD certified and authorized to provide Digital Prototyping solutions (e.g. Inventor) for manufacturing.

The company has been Autodesk’s Authorized Dealer from 1992 and Autodesk Training Center since 1998. Usesoft is a member of BSA Estonia and helped to establish it in 1995, as a representative of Autodesk.

Usesoft is represented in euCAD by Mrs. Kristel Uibo . Project Manager. Kristel has a Degree in Sociology from Estonian Institute of Humanities. Works in Usesoft as a Training Centre manager (before) and project manager since 1999. Before that, Kristel worked as a Foreign Affairs Counsellor in Tallinn City Council. In Usesoft was a project manager of development of recourse planning software ProdMaster for manufacturing industry.
