Travelling from the Airport to Bucharest

From the Otopeni Henri Coanda International airport, the easiest way to reach the city/hotel is by taxi or other ride-hailing riding platforms (such as UBER and BOLT that are active in Romania). Taxis are cheap and should only costs around 15-20 Euros. Please note that on your exit from the airport, you can find on your left hand side automatic taxis calling machines.

DO NOT USE any other means to find a taxi. Choose on the touchscreen among the taxi companies with the lowest rate. You will be given a receipt with a number of the taxi that is coming and in how many minutes. You have to wait for that car to arrive just in front of the terminal exit. Of course, you can choose the premium rates as well, but it is not worth it. Travelling to Bucharest City Center may take between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the traffic.

TRAIN: There is also a train directly from the airport to the Bucharest North Train Station (takes around 30 minutes).

BUSSES: There are also busses that go to the city center, but they take around 1 hour to reach Bucharest (not recommended).
